We finally made it to the zoo! My mom was kind enough to celebrate HER birthday there with us. Finn really loved it! He could see all the animals and was enraptured, which reminded me just how cool polar bears, elephants and orangutans really are!
Finn and his Mop-mop (grandma in Finn-ish) all cuddles. He's really latched onto both grandmas and Chris's dad in the last month or so. It's so sweet. I got totally passed up on a hug the other day in favor of one from a grandma. It does make me miss my dad more though, as I know they would have just loved each other tons.

Finn loves the elephants. He makes an elephant movement with his arm like a trunk and tries to make an elephant sound. Chris can do it really well. Me, not so well.

The lorakeet area is super cool. It is an enclosed area that all these birds are in and you can feed them liquid food from cups. We didn't do that, as I didn't know how Finn would like the birds attacking him, so we just went in to view. Finn loves birds though, so he was happy to see such bright ones so close up, all squawking and flying by him.
